This condition is a neurodevelopmental disorder and is often caught in early childhood or later in life, which is called adult ADHD. For those who suffer from anger issues, here are ways to help manage it:

Take a moment – Taking a moment or step back from a situation causing anger. It can also help see the problem differently, such as if it’s not worth getting angry over or if there is a better way to deal with it. 

Constructive outlet: Finding ways to release pent-up anger or frustrations in a way that does not harm or negatively affect oneself or others can be a great way to manage anger. 

Identify triggers and solutions – It can be very helpful to pinpoint what triggers anger and outbursts to address these issues and find solutions to better cope with them.

Don’t point fingers – It is common for people who have anger issues to blame others or situations. They tend not to take responsibility or find it easier to be angry at someone instead of something they cannot control. This causes tension in relationships and strains their social life. 

Let it go – Many people, especially those with anger issues, have a hard time letting go of grudges or past events. They carry frustration and have lingering pent-up anger, which can cause many problems, both mentally and psychologically. Realizing that it’s time to let go or that there’s no real reason to continue feeling this way can be very rewarding.
