Yes! Jennifer Aniston Does Eat ONE M&M to Stay Healthy!

During an interview with InStyle, Jennifer Aniston revealed to her fans that when the actress is feeling stressed out, she eats one MnM or one chip! Her confession surprised so many viewers as it is difficult to strictly moderate junk food during moments of stress.

It is difficult to imagine feeling stressed out and wanting to feel relief with your favorite food and still moderating how much you can eat. Jennifer Anniston, however, prefers to live a lifestyle where she eats her favorite foods in moderation, including chips and chocolate, to stay healthy. In the interview, she specifically responded to the question with, “I’m good at that. I can have one M&M, one chip. I know, that’s so annoying”.

Although not annoying, it did catch fans off guard! Even the interviewer was shocked with the answer, probably unable to imagine eating only one small item when stressed.

Eating only one M&M to stay healthy should not be surprising for Jennifer Aniston fans. Jennifer Anston, for years, has completed interviews discussing her healthy lifestyle. Anniston both eats and drinks whatever she likes but does so in moderation. Her unique diet is most likely what has helped the beautiful and well-known celebrity maintain her slim and healthy figure. Jennifer Aniston also regularly exercises while participating in moderation.

Jennifer Aniston drinks a diet of celery smoothies/juice, coffee, and drinks with minimal sugar. The popular actress, best known for her role in the hit show Friends, commented on her alcohol consumption by stating that “A margarita — clean, no sugar — or a dirty martini,” she shared. “I only have two to three drinks, tops, and I don’t do exotic.”

How does that work? Why does eating ONE M&M help her stay healthy? The answer is moderation.

The Importance of Moderation

Stress eating is a relatively common practice that occurs to everyone. When feeling stressed out, it is not uncommon for people to run to their favorite foods for comfort. While it is okay to do this every once in a while, it can be dangerous to overeat our favorite foods. Although Aniston only eats one chip or one M&M, her version is extreme. Having more than one chip or M&M is okay, as long as there is moderation.

Our favorite foods and comfort foods are not always the healthiest. If your favorite foods are healthy, like fruits and vegetables, congrats! Not everyone chooses to eat healthy, though, when they are not feeling their best. The most popular comfort foods are potato chips, french fries, burgers, milkshakes, cakes, and chocolate. Jeniffer Aniston is not the only one who enjoys eating chips and M&Ms, but she may be the only one to eat only one of each in a sitting.

Without moderation in foods high in oils, fats, and sugar, many different health conditions can develop over time. These health conditions include

  • Obesity
  • High Cholesterol
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Diabetes

These conditions, however, can be prevented through a healthier lifestyle, like eating in moderation! Interestingly enough, chocolate can lead to a healthier lifestyle!

The Health Benefits of Eating Chocolate

Jenifer Aniston stays healthy by eating one piece of chocolate! Although, indeed, M&Ms are not all made with dark chocolate, those that are are incredibly healthy! Dark chocolate surprisingly contains many nutrients and vitamins, including fiber, iron, calcium, and copper. The exact percentages, however, depend on the percentage of cocoa content in the chocolate.

Milk chocolate, like M&Ms, doesn’t have high cocoa content but is not necessarily bad to eat!

Another health benefit of eating chocolate is that it can alleviate stress! Jeniffer Aniston eating one M&M during moments of stress can help her alleviate these feelings! Chocolate, whether milk or dark, reduces the stress hormone cortisol and catecholamines, the fight-or-flight hormone.

During a two-week study, researchers gave a piece of chocolate to participants who suffered from high anxiety levels in the morning and at night. Their blood and urine were collected to be analyzed for stress hormones. After two weeks, the researchers proudly concluded that eating chocolate every day reduced their anxiety levels. It is important to note that the participants only ate a 1.4 oz piece of chocolate! Like Aniston, the participants ate only one and were able to stay healthy and stress-free.
